Somebody has grudge to bear against writer/director Seth Landau’s
; a take on the true story of a cult that took over an
Arizona town in 1993.
It seems that a disc was mailed to the Landau Motion Pictures P.O. box this week.
On the disk was a video clip of an unidentified individual sporting a fake Bryan mask. Also in the package
was a note reading “We’ll do what we can to steal your thunder. We can make masks just like you.”
LMP media liaison had this to say about the “gift” they
got: “We posted the video online because we want to let whomever these people are know that we’re not going to run from such behavior.”
And director Landau’s two cents were: “If we
somehow touched on a nerve, maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe more people will
want to see the movie. But we certainly aren’t afraid of anonymous mailers.”
