Horror flick wants YOU

It’s always a treat when we get emails from directors who’re on the road to completing their flicks. It’s even cooler when they give us a heads-up about an open casting call, inviting YOU the horror geeks to join the in pre-production horror freakout.

The feature in question is called THE CLEARING, and if you live in the Dallas area – or even if you live in an igloo in the Arctic – you have a chance to join this creepfest, said to be in the STRAW DOGS/DELIVERANCE tradition.

The plot, straight from director Daniel DelPurgatorio:

The film follows a group of friends as they spiral into physical and emotional madness when a last minute trip goes awry. Caught in a small town, the friends fall prey to the local underground in an elaborate game of cat and mouse. This is the gruesome depiction of the young group’s journey into a nauseating backwoods town, and their struggle to stay alive.

Sounds like a romp! Interested parties should email: submissions@theclearing-movie.com. But before you even do that, give the official site a peek HERE, where you can take a gander at some proof-of-concept footage. And heck, if things go well for ya, and you actually make it in the flick (preferably if you are cast as a toothless, sodomy-happy hillbilly), don’t hesitate to update us!
