We got a heads up today that a new horror flick just started filming today in Jones, Alabama, and from all accounts, it sounds like it could be more fun than a barrell of monkeys! Not that that’s all that hard to do (wow, that was a lot of thats), but I think you’ll find this premise… and title… right up your ‘fun’ alley.
The flick’s called SCREAM FARM, and it goes a little something like this: [FARM] follows a group of students who build a haunted house for Halloween to help raise money for their class trip. The students get more than they bargained for, however, when they come across a substance in the building that begins turning them, and the townspeople, into flesh-craving zombies.
Talk about on of my fantasies coming true! Throwing a haunted house and turning into a horde of flesh eating zombies??? Count me in! FARM is set to star Jim O’Rear (who also directs), Kimberly Lynn Cole, Ted Alderman, Deborah Funes (below, top), Maria Kil (below, bottom), and newcomers Sarah Virginia Brock, Brit Hunter, Matt Cox, and Michael Barrett.
It’s a fairly quick production, as it’s scheduled to wrap on Friday, July 13th (nice!), but it’s looking to pump enough screams (and hopefully, laughs) into this flick to make it one of the cooler horror gems to look out for this year.
