Whether you’re a fan of big budget action movies like CON AIR, or have seen every Robert Rodriguez movie, including DESPERADO and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, there’s one man you’ve seen tearin’ up the scenery like no other, sporting maybe one of the biggest tattoos on his chest, and rockin’ a charm that screams ‘badass’ and ‘nice guy’ all at the same time.
That’s right folks, we’re talkin’ about Danny Trejo here, and you might not think of him as being one of Hollywood’s biggest stars right off the bat, but he’s been in more ‘big’ movies than most, and has to be one of the most recognizable actors out there- by sight, if not by name.
We were given a heads up from film editor Charles Yi about the documentary entitled CHAMPION over the weekend, which is about Trejo’s life from Convict to Movie Star. I hadn’t heard of it before today, but holy crap, what a great idea for a documentary film! Seriously, who out there hasn’t wondered about Trejo and his badass tattoos and thought “man, I bet that guy has a story to tell”? I know I have!
