To go with the remake train that’s chugging along at ludicrous speed (check out the latest HERE), there’s word around the campfire that yet another horror classic is being eyed for the remake treatment, this time by Fox Atomic!
According to Shock Till You Drop, a remake of THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE is being mulled over by Fox Atomic for a possible remake, or udpating, as they so cleverly like to say. Nothing is official at this point, but sources say it’s definitely in talks. For the most part, I dig Fox Atomic’s movies- but the production company/ distributor doesn’t make a movie good- or worth watching.
It may rest on the shoulders of how I AM LEGEND does at the box office, as the original story of ‘Hell House’ was written by LEGEND writer Richard Matheson. Not sure at this point if it’d be a retelling of the story, or a remake of the 1973 film- which actually makes me rethink calling this a remake at all, and more of a re-adaptation of a novel (as the novel was the original source material).
Either way, I’m still on the bench with this beast- could be cool cause Atomic keeps things hip and stylish (thus far, anyway), but tackling a Matheson story can be dangerous… stick around for more as we hear it, and check out the original scoop by clicking HERE
