I admit that I am a man who love’s
his undead; which is why I was stoked that CBS had announced that they would be
bringing the re-animated corpses to TV in a series called BABYLON FIELDS.
However it’s starting to look like this bad boy may not be gracing my Tivo
anytime soon, but lucky enough for both you and me the guys over at
Fangoria have scooped up some pics from the show anyway.
If this is the first your hearing
about this show, BABYLON FIELDS has been described as
“sardonic, apocalyptic American comedy-drama where the
dead are rising and as a result, lives are regained, families restored and old
wounds reopened.” I’m not entirely sure what that would entail, but it’s
got zombies in the synopsis so I’m not complaining.
Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson
wrote the pilot episode for the flick and Michael Cuesta (
DEXTER; which is awesome by the way!) directs,
so I can’t imagine that BABYLON FIELDS would be un-entertaining to watch.
I’m sure that this would be something more suited to an HBO type station, where
a little more violence and gore can be gotten away with, but I’ll take zombies
wherever I can get them. Regardless of all this though you should go check out
the pics over at
Fangoria and hope that things soon pick up for
the this undead American dramedy.
