A few grisly pictures and tidbits from Adam Gierasch’s AUTOPSY have splattered across a couple sites. The movie is about a young woman who has to find her boyfriend in a creepy hospital, where the food is hardly the most dreadful thing going on.
Gierasch, who wrote THE TOOLBOX MURDERS and Dario Argento’s THE MOTHER OF TEARS, is making his directorial debut on this pic.
Over at Bloody Disgusting, one of the co-writers, E.L. Katz, had this to say: “…the footage is super moody and stylish looking, perfect for kids getting slaughtered in an evil hospital flick. Adam Gierasch’s directorial debut is gonna be a real thrill for fans. The set itself is wild, an actual functioning mental hospital — apparently one of the patients got loose during the shoot, not sure if he was ever found. I had a great time exploring all of the rooms in the place, felt like I was walking around the hospital in Session 9. It just had such an evil vibe.”
And Gierasch himself told Shock till you Drop: “I’m very influenced by Italian horror, and the film has lots of great color…and, of course, gore. Hopefully all the blood we spilled on set will give horror fans something to enjoy – I know I like it!”
Well, it’s evident in the pictures that the man likes his limbs seperated from their bodies, and his faces with gigantic holes in them. Hey, we have something in common!
The flick’s cast includes James Cameron vets Robert Patrick and Jenette “Vasquez” Goldstein.
