Nobody is safe from the remake epidemic, no one! Not even the great and unique talents of Dario Argento are safe from the remake bug, as now the news comes of his classic film SUSPIRIA
being redone. I know there is no need to say “why the f*ck is this happening?” because all of you are thinking the same thing, but it just makes me feel better. Anyways, the Italian film company First Sun has aquired the rights to SUSPIRIA and intends on making it in English. Luca Guadagnino, a founder of First Sun, had this to say on the remake: ” ‘Suspiria’ has a unique style that we want to reinvent for today’s generation,” Guadagnino said. “We intend to create a concept that will encompass cinema, videogames, fashion and music and that revives the original for those who did not experience it. The Gothic resurgence is very strong around the world at the moment … and we feel that a new version of ‘Suspiria’ will fit very well.”
