Gunn’s Next Is…

At this year’s past Saturn Awards Ceremony, SLITHER director James Gunn had a chance to talk with Shock Till You Drop about his next film, which he recently just finished writing.

It’s much different than ‘Slither,’ it’s not humorous. I wanted to test myself and try to write something where I didn’t rely on humor all of the time. And it was actually a difficult exercise for me, very emotional but I’m happy with how it came out.

Nice! He also mentioned that the flick will be ‘ultra-violent’, but that was about as far into the details as he would say. He did mention that there are already a few producers on board at Universal, so expect to hear more about this beast soon.

Having met Gunn once, I can say the guy’s probably one of the biggest horror/movie geeks out there. The guy loves movies, and seems to relate to fans of the genre well. In other words, no matter what he directs, you know it’ll be in good hands. As SLITHER showed, the guy knows how to entertain, gross out and tickle your funny bone all at the same time- and I can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve!

To check out the full scoop, go ahead and click HERE, and stick around for more on Gunn’s untitled next project as we hear it!
