Caretaker gets Tilly, Judd

Word comes from Dread Central that we should keep our eyes peeled for THE CARETAKER, the latest in the “kids go pranking in an abandoned someplace (this time, a grapefruit orchard!) and get stalked by killer with a vaguely creepy-sounding job-title” genre… Good God, it’s the Caretaker!

Director Bryce Olson has hired Judd Nelson and Jennifer “Still kinda hot” Tilly, the former could be playing the murderer (though that’s not confirmed), the latter as a hot teacher who seduces one of her students. Which I guess gets him all hot and bothered and in the mood for some good ‘ol grapefruit-orchard-loitering, but that’s not confirmed either.

Olson had this to say:“We took a current trend that we found both tragic and disturbing and put it in the forefront of our film, no one could do a better job as this character than the sexy and talented Jennifer Tilly. We were lucky to have her and Judd.”

Wow, not very nice of him to say Jennifer Tilly is tragic and disturbing, I mean, he’s essentially part of the prob- OH I see what he’s saying, the whole hot teacher-on-student thing. Yes, tragic.

All we can hope for is a moment when, right before killing a teen with one of his vicious care-taking tools, the villain rasps, “Better take… CARE!” And if that bit of magic hasn’t been inserted into the script yet, that one’s on me, Bryce.
