While I personally loved the 3 hour masterpiece
called
GRINDHOUSE, we all know that it’s lack of cash
in regards to box-office sales have definitely put a damper on the possibility of
there being a GRINDHOUSE 2; or has it?
Eli Roth, whose trailer for THANKSGIVING
was my second favorite (I mean how can anyone outdo HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN!)
may be jumping into a horror tag team match with Edgar Wright and his DON’T
trailer to become the second
GRINDHOUSE feature.
Roth spoke to
Cinematical about the possibility of a sequel
with both him and Wright at the helm. Roth said: “We’re
talking to Dimension about it. I think they’re still trying to figure out
Grindhouse 1 before we think about Grindhouse 2, but I’ve already
been working on the outline for it and I would do it in a heartbeat.”
Truthfully I wouldn’t mind watching Roth bring
his trailer THANKSGIVING to light in a possible feature, but I really
don’t think that Wright could turn his DON’T trailer into an actual film.
The trailer was more of a gag in regards to other Grindhouse trailers than the
trailer for a possible film. Either way I would love to see a
GRINDHOUSE sequel, but I would prefer the double billing of
THANKSGIVING and HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN!
