Last week we got word that Jonathan Tucker was cast in the new horror flick THE RUINS, and today The Hollywood Reporter is quick to announce that 3 more have been added to the cast, and so far, this flick is looking like it’s gonna have some promise!
And by promise, I mean the flick is gonna feature a couple of genre-savy hotties. Mainly VENOM and THE COVENANT star Laura Ramsey (right) and DONNIE DARKO‘s Jenna Malone (below) have been added to the cast, as well as Iceman himself, Shawn Ashmore. I could give a flying f*ck about Ashmore being here, but the other two… count me in!
The flick follows the current trend of horror flicks revolving around ‘vacations going horribly wrong’, as this features a group of friends on vacation in Mexico, who meet up with a local and decide it’s a good idea to accompany said local to an archaeological dig… where a certain evil is unleashed upon them.
Filming is set to begin at the end of this month in Queensland, Australia, which everyone knows is the Mexico down under, though no perspective release date has been announced as of yet. I’m still dying to know if this will end up being along the lines of adventure, horror, or better yet… adventure horror. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
