I’m getting deja vu, as I can remember reporting on THE MUMMY 3 casting an actor to play Brendan Fraser’s son about a month ago. It is being reported that the 26 year-old Australian actor Luke Ford will play Brendan Fraser’s son in the upcoming film THE MUMMY 3. This negates the reports that a much younger Alex Pettyfer was going to play the role.
And it appears the future of the franchise is now with the prospects of Ford, as director Rob Cohen had this to say about the casting: ” We may spin off into a complete father-son direction with Brendan, but by getting an actor who is in his 20s and not a teenager, we can also put the future on his shoulders,” Cohen told Daily Variety. “He tested against four much more established actors, and he was magic when he read with Brendan.”
Hmm…let’s see, Fraser is 38 years old and Ford is 26 years old; did someone call the makeup team?
