Van Damme does horror?

Are you ready for some Van Dammage? It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Muscles from Brussels – well, it’s been a while since I’VE seen him anyway. I know he’s been in a host of straight-to-DVD flicks with titles like THE HARD CORPS and SECOND IN COMMAND, but let’s face it – Jean Claude has been off the popular radar for quite some time now.

Now we might get a chance to see him as never before – starring in his first horror movie! With frequent collaborator Sheldon Lettich behind the scenes, Van Damme will be starring in the occult thriller HOLY BLOOD. Lettich told the Van Damme fansite VanDammeFan.com (awesome name) that it:

”…deals with the occult and the supernatural, and there’s certainly some stuff in it that’s designed to be creepy and/or scary. But it’s not a horror movie per se, like — for example — EVIL DEAD or HOSTEL… The short description I’ve given is THE EXORCIST meets the X-FILES. What’s different is that it’ll have Van Damme instead of Father Karras, or Scully & Mulder.”

So whether Van Damme dons a priest’s outfit or a smart-looking suit, this much is sure: those presumably unathletic a-holes better watch out, cuz Father/FBI Agent Van Damme isn’t gonna take their devil-worshipping shenanigans sitting down. No, most likely he’s going to unleash a a particularly UNholy barrage of spin-kicks and roundhouse punches to their satanic crotches. (No word yet on whether or not Van Damme has a twin brother who helps him knock these brooding motha’s back to hell)

And here’s something that must be seen to be believed. Seriously.
