Complain and holler to high-heaven, no matter what you say or do, the remake of is happening, so you might as well relax, and enjoy the ride. Sony Screen Gems gave us the heads up that there’s a few new faces joining the cast… which means the body count just got higher!

Johnathon Schaech, Brianne Davis, Jana Kramer (pictured), Hugh Scott and Kelly Blatz have all joined Brittany Snow in the remake, which is the celebrated tale of being in high school, going to prom… and being decapitated on the dance floor. Funny, that’s exactly what happened at my prom…

The original is one of my favorite slashers, and is probably one of the bigger influences on the modern day classic . Plus the fact that f*cking Leslie Nielsen is the principal makes it all that much cooler.

Filming on the new NIGHT is already in progress, as they’re shooting for a February 1st, 2008 release date. Seems to me they should release it in May, as that’s when prom generally seems to be… but what the flying f*ck do I know? Stick around more updates on PROM NIGHT as they surface!
