While it seems every day brings the news another zombie movie is headed our way, the once-exciting prospect of seeing our favorite ghouls – be they fast or slow – chomping on some helpless normal is becoming pretty wearying. Even the announcement that Zack Snyder is getting back into the game with ARMY OF THE DEAD didn’t provoke much more than a “huh…” from me. But for every zombie flick inspired by Snyder’s DAWN OF THE DEAD remake, we could use a few more inspired by SHAUN OF THE DEAD and that’s where FIDO comes in, and Chud has just revealed its new poster.
FIDO is the touching story of a boy and his pet zombie, in a world where the undead are controlled and put to use, since they make pretty decent maids and butlers. It stars the comedic madman Billy Connelly as the titular character, hot momma Carrie-Ann Moss, Tim Blake Nelson, and Dylan Baker, and is getting released in the States this June.
