McGowan to play Cabot

Usually we here at AITH don’t cover too many biographies, unless of course it’s one about a wasp woman murdered by her dwarf son. Then we’ll make an exception… Plus, I’ll take any chance to put up pictures of Rose McGowan, and I’m sure you’ll take any opportunity to look at them. Rose will take off the machine-gun leg and put on some high-fastening pants to star in Stephen Elliot’s BLACK OASIS, where she’ll portray Susan Cabot, who in the 50s appeared in a number of B-move classics, including SORORITY GIRL, MACHINE-GUN KELLEY, WASP WOMAN, and the amazingly titled, THE SAGA OF THE VIKING WOMEN AND THEIR VOYAGE TO THE WATERS OF THE GREAT SEA SERPENT, Roger Corman movies all…

But the strangest B-movie moment of her career was her tragic death, at the hands of her 22 year old son, a dwarf, who bludgeoned her with a weight-lifting bar. Fascinating story, and certainly a meaty role for McGowan, who’s looking to have herself a pretty good year.
