NOTLD-3D midnight shows

I had begun to wonder what in the name of Johnny happened to the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D remake/reimagining. It received a limited theatrical release last November in North America, and as I waited for a DVD announcement, none came… Seems there might’ve been a reason for that as we now get the news that Midnight Movies Entertainment, the film’s distribution company, is embarking on an old-fashioned approach to unleashing its movie upon the world: midnight screenings!

Starting with an April 6 release at the famed Alamo Drafthouse in Texas and continuing with showings at the Times Cinema in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Studio 35 Cinema in Columbus, Ohio, the picture will be rolling out at various locations across the country before its Halloween DVD release (which will be available in 3D).

Check out the official site and click on “release info” to find out if the update of George Romero’s classic will be visiting your town any time soon…
