Damn! Just when I was thinking we were all finally going to be treated with the sequel we all want those frickin’ studios screw us out of a sequel to ROMEO MUST DIE and give us the third installment of THE MUMMY instead. Damn you studios, why must you take my DMX away from me???!!!
So instead of Jet Li making my dreams come true with a ROMEO MUST DIE sequel, it looks like he is going to play the villain (I’m guessing that means he will play the Mummy, but that’s just me) in the next ‘Mummy’ film. Apparently the plot details of the film are on the hush-hush level, but what we do know is this: the action of the film will be set in China, and some sequences will go back to ancient times.
The film will be directed by Rob Cohen and written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and right now Li is involved in an untitled movie that involves RUSH HOUR star Jackie Chan.
Here’s to the hope of DMX getting cast in a movie soon!
For the record: I was just kidding about DMX, ROMEO MUST DIE, and all things ROMEO MUST DIE related.
