The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that Ron “call me Beast and I’ll eat you for dinner” Perlman has joined
Dominic Monaghan (TV’s Lost; LORD OF THE RINGS) in the upcoming 18th century horror flick I SELL THE DEAD for the production company Glass Eye Pix.
DEAD is the simple tell of London corpse traders who perform services for an aristocratic doctor. And you thought there’d be a lengthy synopsis? Ha! Monaghan and Larry Fessenden (AUTOMATONS) star as the corpse traders, with Perlman set to star as the mysterious priest to the 18th century gravediggers. And if that wasn’t cool enough, the Tall Man himself, Angus Scrimm, is in final talks to star as ‘the doctor’, though nothing’s officially set as of yet.
Though we hardly know anything about this project, I must say that all the players involved here suggests that it’s going to kick all sorts of ass. No word on when filming will begin, but as Perlman is gearing up to star in HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY at the end of May, I’d say it’d better start right now… or wait until later this year. Stick around, as we’ll keep you posted on more goodies for I SELL THE DEAD as we hear it!
