If you can’t get enough of Rob Zombie and his remake of HALLOWEEN, then today’s your lucky day! With this week revealing the classic look of Myers the new HALLOWEEN will be sporting, Zombie had a chance to sit down with Rue Morgue and talk the talk about what we can expect from the new version.

Zombie goes into his thoughts on remakes, to the rumors that the script has been re-written due to complaints from the horror community, to everything in between. Here’s a little snippet of fun when asked about his goal for this movie: My goal is to retain what everyone enjoys about the character of Michael Myers but present it in such a different light that you can’t sit there and compare and contrast, which is a waste of time.

The guy has a point about how remakes shouldn’t be compared to the original, and should be seen as two separate films… though, I must say, it’s stated like someone directing a remake would state it- of course he’s down with it, he’s the one doing the remaking! And saying that you can’t compare the original to the remake… what a load of crap. You can judge it as a film on it’s own, yes- but you will always compare the two- it would be impossible not to.

To check out the rest of the interview, in which he also goes into actors he would have wished he was able to get for the film, click HERE, and get ready for HALLOWEEN in theaters this August.

Thanks to Mike for the heads up!
