PHouse snags Orphans

With the European Film Market raging like a boner at a Jenna Jameson tribute concert, we got word that Picturehouse (the sub-venture between HBO & New Line Cinema) recently snagged the U.S. distribution rights to THE ORPHANAGE, from producer Guillermo Del Toro. As Picturehouse was also behind the U.S. distribution to , chances are this flick will receive the love it will likely deserve.

Directed by first-timer J.A. Bayona, written by Sergio G. Sanchez and produced by Mar Targarona, Alvaro Augustin and Joaquin Padro, THE ORPHANAGE

Anything with imagination and Del Toro attached, and you can count my ass there without a second thought! Not only that, but word around EFM is that this flick is , and will likely blow the socks of audiences everywhere. I must say the premise sounds intriguing enough, though if it goes anywhere near
