Another Poltergeist???

ComingSoon received word from David over at PoltergeistIII.com that there may be another POLTERGEIST project on the horizon. And while we’ve heard rumors of this nature before, this time it’s a little different…

Why? Because the source of these rumors is from Charles Cohen, senior executive Vice President at MGM! Apparently contacted and questioned about a possible POLTERGEIST IV, Cohen released this as a statement/response: “We are working on a Poltergeist idea, and hope to have some news to announce shortly.
Stay tuned.”

A statement like that leaves some room for interpretation, and leaves a whole slew of possibilities open. I mean, the idea could be remaking the original, or developing a sequel, or attempting to do yet another TV series… at this point, it’s too early to tell, but damnit, at least it’s something!

To check it out, straight from the horses mouth as they say, go ahead and click HERE, as there’s also some news on the DVD release of POLTERGEIST 3. Hopefully we’ll hear some hard-hitting news on the next POLTERGEIST project sooner than later… and hopefully this isn’t just a rumor with no real merit (and as it’s just floating around on the internet, that is a possibility).
