Those crazy bastards over at Fangoria had a chance to sit down with Thomas Jane over the weekend to discuss his role in the upcoming slasher/comedy THE TRIPPER. During that chat he also went into a little other project he’s involved with, that of the lead character in Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s THE MIST!

In his discussion, he revealed a couple of very interesting things… for one, Darabont isn’t letting anyone see the last 10 pages of the script because he doesn’t want the ending to leak out. Kind of funny, as everyone who’s read the book knows how it ends, and anyone who really wants to know beforehand can pick up the novella and find out for themselves, right? Well…

…the script we have ends with that (the original ending)—but Darabont has added an extra five minutes…

Ho-ly Crap. That’s right. A new ending. I don’t know how I feel about that just yet, as the ending to the King story was one that stuck with ya, but… depending on how those extra 5 minutes go… it could make it even better. And if anyone’s gonna do it, it’s Darabont. The guy’s a Kind-adapting genius!

To check out the whole chat, in which Jane divulges that THE MIST script is the best horror script I’ve ever read, go ahead and click HERE, and prepare for THE MIST, which is aiming to hit theaters this November.
