A while back we gave ya heads up about Anthony Falcon’s low-budget indie flick 99 PIECES. Today we received word from the man himself that the film’s completed, the trailer’s up at it’s OFFICIAL SITE, and it’s being sent out for film fests around the globe as we speak.
Hit up the site to the new trailer for the flick, which starts out a bit like SAW, but then finds it’s own style about halfway through. In case you’ve forgotten, 99 PIECES revolves around a man given the choice to lock himself in his own home for forty-days in order to uncover a puzzle that will find him a connection to 4 men he does not know.
What’s may be more impressive than the final product, is the steps Falcon took to make the movie- boarding up his house, starving himself, running 4 miles a day, turning his real-life house into the horror show that’s presented on film. That, my friends, is f*cking hardcore. “I was inspired by the stories of dedication by the original Halloween and Chainsaw Massacre where the home would stink with filth, dirt and old carcasses. Sometimes you as a filmmaker must live and experience the situation for the audience to believe it, and that’s what we did in this film. This is sometimes hard to accomplish with named actors and a full size crew but in a real house with real people it works.”
