A Jim Carrey horror movie sounds like something along the lines of Sean Penn doing comedy, or a Rob Zombie making a family film- f*cking ridiculous. But with next month’s THE NUMBER 23 moving ever so quickly towards us – and looking halfway decent at that – methinks Carrey will be able to pull it off with the strive of a genre pro.
New Line Cinema released a gaggle of new images from 23 today, showcasing the more serious side of Carrey, and the visual eye of hit or miss director Joel Schumacher. Scroll down to catch a glimpse, and spit some bullets below on your take- do you think Carrey will be able to pull this off, or will he crash and burn, producing a horror flick that’s so awful that it’s funny? So far, my money’s on it being better than what we expect, especially considering the one photo where Carrey is sportin’ some sick tattoos, a saxophone, and is splattered with blood… good stuff right there. THE NUMBER 23 hits theaters February 23rd.
