Just yesterday we heard from Rob Zombie via his MySpace Blog that there’s a documentary that’s currently filming for a behind-the-scenes look at his remake of HALLOWEEN. And today, Zombie had more to say on this project… like what Michael Myers’ mask is going to look like!
I’ve just seen Wayne Toth’s finished mask for Michael and all I can say is “HOLY F*CK”. It looks perfect. exactly like the original. Not since 1978 has the shape looked so good. Wayne worked this sucker to death and boy did it pay off.
Sh*t yeah! Wayne Toth was his special effects man behind both THE DEVIL’S REJECTS and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, so let’s hope this winning combination rocks the house again in that department. And good to hear they’re not changing the whole look of the mask- as it’s an iconic figure, it’d be stupid to come up with something new and “improved”. When all’s said and done, we’re pretty damn lucky Zombie is behind this remake and not some other clown… who knows what direction it’d go under someone else’s vision…
