Probably more widely remembered for his role in THE PRINCESS BRIDE, Cary Elwes made a new name for himself in the horror community when he busted out with SAW a few years back. And this morning, accord to Variety, it looks like he’ll be hitting the horror circuit once again with PSCYHE 9, a horror-thriller from director/producer Andrew Shortell.
PSYCH 9 evolves around an unstable woman who takes a job organizing patient records at a recently closed hospital. Working alone at night, she experiences a series of disturbing events that may be connected to a string of gruesome murders.
And yes, these weird and strange visions will likely happen in the Psych 9 section of the hospital… which is probably in the basement. The premise here sounds cool enough, as anyone who’s ever been to an abandoned hospital (and who hasn’t) knows that it is some seriously freaky shit- and the perfect place for a horror movie.
Co-starring the great Michael Biehn (THE TERMINATOR) and Babe with a capital ‘B’ Sara Foster, the flick is being produced by Int’l Production Co. (which also co-produced HOSTEL), though no word on it’s perspective release has been revealed yet. Seeing as Foster here is a full blown hottie, not to mention that the potential for some serious scares and ‘classic’ actors like Elwes and Biehn are on board, this is one flick that I can’t wait to check out! Least to say we’ll keep you posted on that release date. And yes, that picture of Elwes is damn creepy…
