Clock Tower writer speaks

There was once a series of eerie
video games that never really sat right with me entitled CLOCK TOWER. The series
is basically you escaping from a limping maniac who has a giant pair of
scissors, who is never in the same place twice because of a randomizer built
into the game to help scare the hell out of you.

Well CLOCK TOWER will be following
in the footsteps of games like

RESIDENT EVIL
and

HOUSE OF THE DEAD
and will soon be hitting the big screen. The man
who penned the original screenplay for the flick Todd Farmer, has spoken
recently to Fangoria about his take on the script.

“It was based on the CLOCK TOWER III
game, which I loved, and I always thought Scissorman would make a great villain.
Olguin was brought in after I finished my drafts and I hear he’s a fan of
Scissorman too, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what he does. Visually,
he’s amazing. Can’t wait to see this one.”

says Farmer.

Farmer also discussed working with
Carpenter on his upcoming flick THE PSYCHOPATH saying the film will become more
than just a movie, but almost an industry in itself. To see what else Farmer had
to say to Fangoria click
here.

As a side note I personally never
made it past playing the first CLOCK TOWER game and don’t really know much about
the plot of the third one which seems to be Farmer’s inspiration for the movie.
I would love if someone could post what it was about and whether it would make a
good film.

Happy Halloween all!
