With 95% of all remakes these days sucking balls, it’s hard not to think that Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN remake will suffer the same fate. Even though he is Rob Zombie, and has done a great job directing horror movies thus far, the degree of skepticism this flick is so much that if it’s not perfect… well, I’d hate to be in his shoes.
To battle the outcry, or to simply defend his position and put people at ease, Zombie has decided to talk his plans for the remake on MTV’s ‘Overdrive’ show today, so whatever you do… set some time aside and check it out. Or at least remember to set your TiVo and watch it later.

I’d say it’s a damn smart move for Zombie to embrace the cynics out there head on, as well as give some folks (like me) piece of mind that the whole thing won’t be f*cked and turn out like THE FOG remake did. With Zombie behind the lens, it’s hard to believe he’d deliver such crap, but you never know…
