Now here’s something I can really
get behind; a multi platform horror network available 24hous a day, 365
days a year. It’s f**king glorious.
Starting on October 31st, a new
online horror network will launch, giving us what we want the most: horror. The
network, FEARnet, will be available on multiple platforms for your viewing
pleasure and will contain everything from Bram Stokers DRACULA to THE BLOB, to
CHILDREN OF THE LIVING DEAD.
The network will be available on
several platforms including On-demand cable, online, and mobile.
With ON-DEMAND, you’ll have access
to about 200 titles a year, and 70 hours a month. The programming will include
titles from each horror genre (thriller, suspense, slashers, psychological)
including a special section entitled “J-Horror”, devoted to Japanese horror
films. With On-demand you’ll also get over 10 hours of Spanish language and over
25 hours of high-definition programming a month.
ONLINE will give you accessibility
to 200 shorts for free streaming, 50 downloadable movies to buy or rent a month
and nine feature length films which can also be viewed free of charge. While
watching videos you’ll be able to chat, post on blogs, or look up info on the
film makers while watching the movie at the same time. You’ll also have access
to the exclusive “Web of Fear”; a horror database filled with all the horror
knowledge you could possibly want. They’ll also be constant updates about
upcoming films, interviews with horror actor and enthusiasts, and much more.
With FEARnet MOBILE you’ll have
access to the latest news, reviews and coming soon horror ring tones and sound
effects.
