Bana’s X Factor

Any time a movie revolves around a real life serial killer, it becomes a little unnerving, and that much scarier than watching Jason or Freddy slice & dice on the big screen. That’s what makes FACTOR X, the upcoming movie about the BTK killer from director Ridley Scott (ALIEN), sound all the more frightening.

The Hollywood Reporter got word today that Eric Bana (HULK) and Terrence Howard (CRASH) have signed up to star in FACTOR X, which takes its name from what the killer described in taunting letters to the police as his motive for murder, tells how a young, black counterterrorism expert from Washington teamed up with a Wichita police detective, who spent his career trying to chase down the killer.

The BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill) killer was on a murder spree from 1974-91… can you imagine trying to chase down a killer for nearly 20 years?!? That’s some hard-core shite right there. Not to mention the fact that the guy wasn’t even caught until 2005.

With Scott at the helm (well, that’s NOT official yet…. but he is producing), and Bana & Howard on board, this is looking to be one of the better true-life serial killer movies to come out in a long time (or at least better than the previous BTK KILLER movie). Stick around as news of Scott directing (or not directing) should be soon to follow.
