A few months back we let you in on the skinny that Jenkay LLC, Jeffrey Latimer Entertainment and Just For Laughs Live were putting on the off-Broadway musical of Sam Raimi’s EVIL DEAD. Today we were informed that show debuts soon, and if you live in the area, I suggest you check it out!!!
EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL stars Ryan Ward (lookin’ pretty good as Ash), Jennifer Byrne (Linda), Jenna Coker (Cheryl), and Renee Klapmeyer (Annie/ Shelly), and features some awesome sounding songs like “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons,” “Hail to the King,” “Look Who’s Evil Now” and “Do the Necronomicon”. What else could you possibly ask for in a musical? Seems to be hitting all the right notes for me!
Tickets go on sale today, with the show debuting November 2nd and playing through December 9th at New York’s New World Stages. Tickets are only about $25 a pop, and if you’re lucky enough to sit in the first couple of rows, it’s advised to ‘dress accordingly’, as it will likely end up being like a Gallagher show, except instead of exploding watermelons, it’ll be exploding heads. Man, I wish I lived near New York!
