Late last month, we ran a little update on writer/director/producer James Felix McKenney’s indie flick, AUTOMATONS. The flick made its world premiere at the Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany earlier this month, and now the film is set to make a splash in North America.

In a press release issued today, the film presented by Glass Eye Pix and MonsterPants Movies will be screening at New York City’s Two Boots Pioneer Theatre this December 13 to the 26. “I’m delighted to be having out first New York run at the Pioneer.” says McKenney. “This is the theater where my last film, THE OFF SEASON, first premiered and has long been a home for many Glass Eye Pix projects”.

Throughout the run, appearances by cast and crew are expected, including a genuine robot from the film waiting at the theatre entrance, introducing the film, or even sitting in the seat behind you! To get with the ticket thing, smack the link here and prepare for the end of the human race.
