MONSTER HOUSE – October 24th
Kids movies generally don’t do ‘it’ for me, as the usually lack blood/gore, sex/nudity, and the graciously-dropped F-bomb that I so look forward to when sitting down to horror flick. But MONSTER HOUSE made me a believer that you don’t always need all that good stuff to make a good movie. Plus, the animation is stellar, the scares are plentiful, the jokes are funny, and not once do they break out in a song & dance routine. Grab it for the holidays, yo.

H6: DIARY OF A SERIAL KILLER – November 21st
Not to be confused with DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN, or HALLOWEEN 6: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS, H6 is the Spanish answer to HOSTEL, or at least that’s what the box says (so you know it’s gotta be true). Interesting enough that Tartan Extreme is releasing this flick, as they generally stick to Asian horror- so kudos to them for stepping out of the box and dipping into other internationally f*cked up features. Bring on the diary!

SEE NO EVIL – November 28th
The day we stop seeing movies like SEE NO EVIL, is the day that the slasher genre will be dead. Let’s not let that happen, as Kane and his big-ass bad-ass self kicks major tail here, and delivers Grade-A slasher entertainment that even Jason Voorhees would be proud of. More than a rental, this slasher on steroids belongs in every DVD collection ever compiled, alongside SHOCKER and VENOM.

PULSE – December 5th
It’s ironic that a movie called PULSE seemed to be made by people who lacked a pulse, and therefore was only liked by those without a pulse, resulting in a pulse-free movie that sucked on more levels than one (much like that sentence, which probably contained the word ‘pulse’ more than any other sentence ever written). Think the DVD will make it any better? Unless Kristina Bell gets naked, or the entire movie is completely re-cut, re-written and re-shot, methinks not.

LEFT IN DARKNESS– September 19th – Because if you cross your eyes a bit and look a the cover just out of focus, this chick looks like Jessica Alba. And she’s hot.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA – TBA – Because it’s about the devil in New York and… hey wait a minute, this ain’t horror! Damnit!
STAY ALIVE– September 19th – Because Sophia Bush is hot, and they say the uncut version is what the movie was supposed to look like, not the butchered PG-13 theaterical release. Why not see for yourself?
