Trick or Treat, motherf*cker!
Production Weekly confirmed the news from last week today that Bryan Singer will be producing Michael Dougherty’s TRICK R’ TREAT for Warner Bros. This comes as a relief, as having the dudes who brought us SUPERMAN RETURNS and X2 behind a horror movie is very good news indeed.
According to PW, production is set to begin this November in Vancouver, BC, and they even had some light to shed on the flick’s plot: the film interweaves four tales of chaos and malevolence and has been loosely described as “Pulp Fiction” set on Halloween night.
NICE! I really dig flicks that interweave an assload of characters that seem to have nothing to do with each other until you find out that they really do. And on Halloween night? Sounds like a winner to me! This is taking the genre to a whole new level, as this type of deal doesn’t generally happen with horror movies. Plus, when was the last really good horror flick that revolved around Halloween? Yeah. It’s been awhile.
Hopefully we’ll hear some casting news soon as to who may be starring in this feature as the possibilities are endless. TRICK R’ TREAT hits theaters October 5th, 2007.
