Ed’s head not dead?

Those of you waiting for NECA’s SHAUN OF THE DEAD ‘Winchester’ box set featuring Shaun and Ed will unfortunately be in for a bit of a letdown when it’s released.

According to MovieManiacs.net, when the set was first shown at this year’s Comic-Con, Ed sported a zombie head sculpt. ‘So what?’, you say. Well, look at the images from CC and you’ll find that Ed’s head doesn’t match up with his arms and legs, flesh-wise. Now, images have surfaced of the set featuring Ed with a normal head. Does this mean that we’ll have both heads to choose from? Unfortunately no.

In chatting with MovieManiacs about the set, NECA’s Randy Falk said that he would like to see the set come with both heads, but hasn’t received licensor approval to do so because of the arms/legs thing. Therefore, all signs point to a “normal Ed head” in the final set.

All is not lost, however, as a “Zombie Version” of Ed is a possibility, with NECA’s new Cult Classics Hall of Fame Series in full swing, Ed could be set for a repainting/resculpting. Regardless, this set will be badass anyways, dead Ed or not. Look for this puppy early next year.
