The Skinny on Diary

Like most, I just about fainted when the news was announced last week that George A. Romero was at it again, with his latest zombie opus DIARY OF THE DEAD. And while the story isn’t entirely original, it does sound like a good time overall.

Today the ladies over at FLIXENS were able to get a hold of Romero’s script, and reviewed it for our viewing pleasure. It’s an understatement that there are a few spoilers to go along with the read, but what do you expect- it’s a script review! Go ahead and check it out by clicking HERE.

Not to give anything away, here’s the summary from one of the reviewers (there are 2): I loved it, and I think that it’s going to be a great film… a nice return to low budget horror for Mr. Romero. Nice! The story line and some of the sequences (especially the killer opening) sound amazing, and is nothing less than what we would expect from Romero.

At this point, the least we can say is that the script is headed in the right direction, and as Romero’s at the helm, I’m sure it will carry onto film without a hitch. Though mark my words- those who get sick with too much handheld action ala BLAIR WITCH will most likely hate this movie, as it sounds like shaky-cam galore! Be sure to hit the review up HERE, and stick around for all the latest on DIARY OF THE DEAD as we hear it!
