Covey Title Sequence

Well, summer’s pretty much over and now we can finally look forward to the Fall movie season, and in particular, October, as it’s one of the fuller months of theatrically released horror movies of the year. But before we can bask in all the October glory, we have to get through September first.

Friday we have the Nic Cage remake of THE WICKER MAN (which is rated PG-13… I could’ve sworn it was R at some point…), and next week we have THE LOST BOYS remake- I mean, THE COVENANT, from master director Renny Harlin. To start the buzz off right, they’ve posted the entire opening title sequence to the film on the OFFICIAL SITE, and I will admit- I kind of dug it. Maybe because I’m a fan of White Zombie’s ‘More Human Than Human’, or because I just liked the way the whole thing was put together- whatever the reason, I was totally diggin’ on it. And yeah, even though the first scene is a total rip-off of THE LOST BOYS, I liked where the film was going. This will be one entertaining movie- not real quality here, but entertaining, just the way Harlin likes it!

To get your COVENANT groove on, go ahead and click HERE, and prepare for THE LOST BOYS meets THE CRAFT in theaters September 8th.
