Messenger Teases

A while back we pointed you in the direction of the Official Site for The Pang Bros. first American movie THE MESSENGERS, and today it looks like the first official teaser poster has made it’s way online.


The imagery here is creepy, as an empty crib in a field covered in crows is not a very pleasant sight to see. In fact, it’s very THE BIRDS-esque. And since Alfred Hitchcock’s THE BIRDS is a frickin’ masterpiece, I suppose there’s nothing wrong with that! My only problem here is the tag line- I think it’d be better if it said ‘They Have Arrived’ vs. ‘They’ve Arrived’, but what the hell do I know?


Released through Ghost House Pictures, THE MESSENGERS stars Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott, Penelope Ann Miller, and John Corbett, and was written by JASON X scripter Todd Farmer. If there’s any flick in the genre to look forward to hitting theaters next year, this one’s it! Except, of course, if it turns out to be a toned down PG-13 horror flick that looks real pretty but bites the big one (as Ghost House has been known to do [cough] THE BOOGEYMAN [cough]) . But the Pang Bros. wouldn’t do that to us, because they’re cool like that. THE MESSENGERS hits theaters everywhere January 19th, 2007.
