I don’t know whether to jump for joy, or run around the house screaming my head off, but according to Bloody-Disgusting there’s a new movie that’s the best zombie film in decades! What flick could get a standing ovation like this? Steven C. Miller’s AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION!


This low budget indie has, what appears to be, one kick-ass synopsis, and already I’m drooling at the mouth: three teens battle zombies in their hometown. Bloody, gory, non-stop action ensues. Really, what more do you need in a zombie flick?


If you click on the image above, you can check out what I mean by bloody and gory, as there’s one image that’s just gross- and I mean that in the most respectful way. From the few images that are up, you can tell the film has some serious style, with cool set pieces and a lighting template that would make Alexandre Aja proud.


FUSION looks to be a mix of sweet zombie action (the fast zombies ala DAWN OF THE DEAD remake), and enough horror to fill even the most hardcore zombie fan’s shorts. In what seems like a non-stop stream of shitfest zombie flicks over the last few years, it’s nice to see one that doesn’t hold back and tries to be something on its own, rather than just a straight up rip-off. We need more of those!
