Bloodshed Distributed

A few months ago fellow lady killer Matt told you about BLOODSHED, a slasher flick that, despite appearing like a rip off of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and WOLF CREEK, actually looked pretty cool. Today producer/director Jim McMahon gave us an interesting heads up about the status of the film: it’s finally landed distribution!

Anthem Pictures has picked up BLOODSHED for DVD distribution here in the States, so it looks like we’ll all be able to check out the gritty goodness of it all, and really see if the movie’s a rip-off of past classics, or if it’s just being marketed that way. Let’s just hope they decide to change the cover art to something a bit more original, as WOLF CREEK and MACHINED have already tapped the multi-faces screaming look.

All in all, pretty cool news, and I’m eager to hear what street date they’ll be able to land. Probably too close to October to expect something this Halloween, but we’ll need something to help us through the holiday season, so even November or December would work too. For more info., go ahead and check out McMahon’s BLOG at the film’s Official Site, and stick around for more news on BLOODSHED as we hear it!

Seriously, is this the best they could come up with?
