Bill Moseley, the man who gave us nightmares in THE DEVIL’S REJECTS and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (among many, many others) gave Fango a heads up this week to talk about his latest project involving a different kind of house…
HOUSE (no, not a remake of Steve Miner’s HOUSE), based on the novel by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker, will tell the story of a shady motel in the middle of buttf*ck nowhere, where the proprietor’s can look into your soul and see all of your nightmares and fears… or, as Moseley himself explains: “HOUSE is the Roach Motel of horror: People check in, but they don’t check out!” Kick ass!
Also starring Leslie Easterbrook, Lew Temple and Michael Madsen, and directed by Robby Henson, HOUSE is currently getting ready to begin filming in Lodz, Poland. I must say, the story sounds pretty cool, and they could go a lot of places here… but at the same time, haven’t we seen this done a gillion times? From PSYCHO to HORROR HOTEL, to the upcoming flick VACANCY with Luke Wilson, hotels and motels have been the location for horror for years. But seeing as scary things can happen in those shady rooms for rent, it’s not all that surprising… especially if you’re in the middle of nowhere with no options and deliriously sleep deprived. Bad things can happen…
