Lionsgate has picked up the North American distribution rights to Urban-Horror-Comedy HOLLA. The pic which features a cast of young, up-and-coming African-American actors, tells the story of a television star, stranded with seven of her friends in a cabin at a campsite; [also] stuck with them is a murderous sociopath.
Pretty standard stuff, but when I checked out the trailer over at the pic’s MySpace page there were a number of small touches that I really liked. The killer’s mask kicks ass, the campsite is called Diamond Creek, and how can you not love a scene where the entire cast runs out to the car to leave when the lights go out?
Overall I have to give this one a pretty decent shot at being some real fun. And even if it fails, there is plenty of scantily clad chick flesh at play (all about the semi-thong shot near the start of the trailer).
Hit up the Official Site and the MySpace page to see what you think (and don’t forget to check out the friend link for cast member Kali Hawk, that’s her top right).
