The Quiet trailer

Our step-brothers over at MovieHotties.com do an excellent job of keeping us all up to date on everything having to do with the hotness of the fairer gender, but sometimes they also find some nuggets that expand beyond that worthy endeavor.

For instance, they noticed a trailer for THE QUIET over at Yahoo Movies that I missed somehow. Props to them and a slap on the wrist to me. The pic stars Elisha Cuthbert and Camilla Belle in a pic that is described as follows:

Cheerleader Nina Deer’s seemingly idyllic life of is thrown into turmoil when Dot, a deaf teenager, is adopted into her suburban family. After first being ostracized as a “freak,” Dot soon becomes extremely popular as those around her find her to be someone they can conveniently and safely confess their darkest secrets to. Struggling with a very disturbing secret of her own, Nina eventually strikes an unlikely bond with Dot herself.

Not that interesting I know, but the trailer rocks! It promises all sorts of dark, screwed up scenarios, plenty of tasty cheerflesh, and a general feel bad about humanity kind of time. Excellent!

Sony Pictures Classics will handle domestic distro starting with a limited release at the end of August. Me thinks I’ll have to find a theater that’s playing it, but until then we can all just gaze adoringly at the venerable Ms. Cuthbert.
