There’s a few upcoming movies out there that seem to get better and better the more you hear about them. SNAKES ON A PLANE comes directly to mind, as well as the upcoming SMALL TOWN FOLK, from Gumboot Pictures. It’s a little indie that could, coming straight out of the UK, and it looks better and better every time they come out with something new.
This weekend their site has been updated with a few new items, particularly a new trailer made specifically to screen at the Cannes Film Festival. If you’ve had any doubts about FOLK in the past, or have no clue in just what the hell I’m talkin’ about, definitely check it out! It will reassure you, or make you a believer- this movie is gonna be da bomb!
Written and directed by Peter Stanley-Ward, and starring Chris R. Wright (FREAK OUT) and Warwick Davis (!), the flick is about a place called Grockleton, wherein, high on a hill-top stands the lonely Beesley’s Manor, governed by the villainous ‘Landlord’.
Accompanied by his henchmen Pooch and Pike and the diesel-swilling Dobbin, the Landlord keeps a watchful eye over Grockleton and anyone who dares to enter his land.
When three improbable heroes stumble unsuspectingly into the Beesley’s realm they are cruelly snared into a menacing hunt and an unstoppable frenzy of heart racing mayhem!
