Dead Trailer

Usually my man Pat covers the horror fun in video games around these parts, but when I stumbled over the new trailer for the zombie ride DEAD RISING, I couldn’t help but speem in my shorts, and actually get excited for a video game like this!


If you head over to HorrorMovies.ca, you can see exactly what I’m talkin’ about. To me, it looks a bit like the premise for DAWN OF THE DEAD 2: STILL IN THE MALL- like a cross breed between the slick remake and the slow moving zombies from the original. Pretty much, the best of both worlds if you ask me!


From the trailer, I’ve gathered that there’s a lot of f*ckin’ zombies up- with all sorts of fun stuff, including a rake, a park bench, a light saber (you heard me right), a chainsaw, a machete- pretty much, you name it, you use it to kill hordes of zombies. The zombies don’t really look all that threatening here- so expect no scares. Really, it’s just an excuse to run around the mall and kill zombies. Hella zombies.


So if you’re into violent as hell video games, zombies, and some more violence just for kicks, then I’d say DEAD RISING is your bag. If you’re not really into video games (I’ll admit, I’d rather be watching movies than playing video games), you’ll most likely enjoy the trailer just the same, as you can never get enough angles or ways to watch a zombie die again.
