Continuing with the trend that Vancouver, BC is the hottest place to film movies (especially horror movies), it was learned through the fittingly titled Hollywood North Report that the sequel to 2003’s WRONG TURN will start filming in Vancouver later this month.
Directed by Joe Lynch, WRONG TURN 2 is set to film from May 29th through June 30th. The weird thing is, while that’s only a few weeks away, there has yet to be an officially announced cast- so far, there doesn’t seem to be anyone starring in this badboy, not even Eliza Dushku! Well, maybe there is… and nobody knows about it yet. I’m sure that still happens these days…
The HNR also got ahold of the script, and said the story centers on Ma and Pa, the inbred brother and sister who spawned the deformed villains seen in the original movie. Nothing says good times like brother and sisterly love.
Can’t say I’m all that excited about this straight-to-DVD effort, as the original film did nothing for me, but I like the angle they’re going with… and I’m sure the body count will be big.
