We got a scoop today about a little indie horror flick that sounds like good times and lots of fun. Not only that, but it stars indie ‘superstar’ Trent Haaga, who you may remember from such classics as TALES FROM THE CRAPPER and SUBURBAN NIGHTMARE, and scream queen Vanelle, who we’ll be seeing in SURVIVAL (read article here).
The new flick, which will start filming this July, is called DESOLATION, and it shows what happens when a much needed vacation turns into a trip from hell. Check it: DESOLATION is the terrifying story of one family’s weekend of horror.
When Robert Carlowe takes his family on a weekend getaway to reconnect with his loved ones after a tragic incident, he is suddenly thrust into a life and death struggle when his idealic vacation turns into the weekend from hell. When a mysterious stranger from Robert’s past invades the vacation home and takes his wife and children hostage, Robert must confront his demons head on and fight for the survival of his family.
See, I told you it sounded like fun! From Lazarus Entertainment, written and directed by Krist Ruffy (THE CUTTING ROOM), and produced by Kevin Woods, it’s about as much of a star studded group of filmmakers the horror indie scene could possibly muster up.
