AvP2 in ’07

2007 is the year. The year when hell freezes over. Box Office Mojo has posted on their site that ALIEN VS PREDATOR 2 has been scheduled for release on Augutst 10th, 2007. Hear that scream? That was my soul dying a horrible death.

The ‘original’ AvP sucked donkey balls, and I can only imagine more of the same PG-13 weak sauce we were served summer 2004. No ‘official word’ has been uttered from 20th Century Fox, though an announcement is expected soon.

No word on who’s going to be directing this p.o.s. either, but I’m guessing we’re all secretly wishing that Paul WS Anderson is not on board. Ok, it’s not a secret at all- we’re all hoping to all that is mighty and right that Anderson doesn’t return at all! Of course, who to helm this sinking ship? Now that is the question.

So stick around, as the official announcement of the dumbest sequel to ever hit the big screen turns up, and the question that has stumped so many for centuries will be answered: Who’s gonna direct, and who’s gonna fork over their dough to see it after being duped the first time around?
